Grand Junction Pix

Here are some photos from the 2007 ISSA Regional Match in Grand Junction. For those of you who haven't been to one, the picture of the gentleman donning a furry cap is not about keeping his head warm. It was a hundred degrees every day. The cap is made from the pelt of a skunk and is a particular honor bestowed on just one individual for especially distinguishing himself at the match. There were other good prizes donated including half a gain-twist barrel, an aluminum gun case, and an honor target from last year's winner. The match was well run and the weather was perfect. There was no need for bulky outer garments to interfere with one's shooting and the blue Colorado sky could inspire a poet. It is a pity that the photographs cannot adequately portray the gentle Spring breezes that bless this lucky valley. You really have to be there.
